Our Wild San Diego Outreaches

Bring scientific exploration of the natural world to your classroom with the Living Coast’s outreach program! We’ll bring hands-on activities, up-close animal interactions, dissections, scientific tools, and more! Our trained staff will wear a mask, follow all recent safety guidelines including daily temperature screening, and adhere to social distancing while on-site. Our team will work with you to follow any safety policies and procedures you require for outside vendors. Email education@thelivingcoast.org for questions regarding this program.

Virtual Field Trips and Resources

Thanks to the generous support of Chula Vista Elementary School District and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services (Southern California Urban Refuge Program) we developed Virtual Field Trip Experiences and resources for you and your students. All programs are NGSS and CCSS aligned.

Virtual Wildlife Encounters for Classes or Camps

This educational opportunity comes complete with an animal encounter, a guiding worksheet for students, and a trained educator able to facilitate a quick 15-minute mini-lesson for your class. Students can ask their questions and record their observations as they get up close with one of our animal ambassadors.
