Join us as we partner with the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary for a bilingual hike in Del Mar! We will have the opportunity to learn about the fantastic local wildlife around the San Dieguito Lagoon and River Valley in English and Spanish. The hike will begin at the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary and continue on the Coast to Crest Trail.

Meeting Location: Free Flight Bird Sanctuary at 2132 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar.

Driving directions: Follow I-5 N and take Exit 36 onto Via De La Valle in San Diego. Make a left onto Via De La Valle and then turn left onto Jimmy Durante Blvd. Continue on Jimmy Durante Blvd. until you reach the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary on the right.  

Suggested parking: Parking is available at the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary or across the street in the paid parking lot 

Restrooms and Water: Bathrooms and a water station are available at the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary.

Hike length: Approximately 2 miles 

Program Supplies:  Please wear comfortable clothes and hiking shoes. Bringing a water bottle, bug protection, and sun protection is highly recommended.  

Hiking level: Easy 

No pets will be allowed on the hike.
