The Living Coast Discovery Center inspires care and exploration of the living Earth by connecting people with coastal animals, plants and habitats.
We are a nonprofit zoo and aquarium located on San Diego Bay. We are uniquely situated on the Sweetwater Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, offering visitors an ideal setting in which to explore the amazing animals and plants that call our coastal region home.

Drawing from artistic elements, SEA the Change seeks to inspire new ideas for making a difference in your own community. You will discover the issues our local wildlife face daily by stepping into their shoes while enjoying exciting interactive exhibits, nature-influenced art, and new animal ambassadors that connect and inspire the love of nature in each one of us.
Enjoy the beautiful nature trails by The Living Coast in all their springtime glory. Walk along the bay on San Diego National Wildlife Refuge. Ask the front desk for a trail map and directions to trail entrance.
Our parking lot is located at the corner of Bay Blvd. and E St. in Chula Vista. After you park, wait for the complimentary shuttle to bring you to our front doors.
