SUMMARY:Trail to Bay Hike at Free Flight Bird Sanctuary
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we partner with the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary and Palomar College for a trilingual hike in Del Mar! We will have the opportunity to learn about the amazing local wildlife around the San Dieguito Lagoon and River Valley in English\, Spanish\, and American Sign Language. The hike will begin at the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary and continue on the Coast to Crest Trail. \nDate: Friday\, September 27\nCheck-in time: 11:00 AM\nDuration: 2 hours \n \nMeeting Location: We will be meeting outside of the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary at 2132 Jimmy Durante Blvd\, Del Mar. \nDriving directions: Follow I-5 N and take Exit 36 onto Via De La Valle in San Diego. Make a left onto Via De La Valle and then turn left onto Jimmy Durante Blvd. Continue on Jimmy Durante Blvd. until you reach the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary on the right. \nSuggested parking: Parking is available at the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary or across the street in the paid parking lot \nRestrooms and Water: Bathrooms and water station are available at the Free Flight Bird sanctuary. \nHike length: Approximately 2 miles \nProgram Supplies: Please make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for hiking. Bringing a water bottle\, bug protection\, and sun protection are highly recommended. \nHiking level: Easy \nNo pets will be allowed on the hike.
