SUMMARY:Cleanup at Bayfront Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Team Up to Clean Up event at Chula Vista Bayfront Park and help us protect and care for our coastal environment! Participants will pick up trash throughout the park and surrounding areas\, enjoy the amazing view of San Diego Bay\, and learn how we can all make a difference by keeping our parks and waterways clean! \nDate: Saturday\, February 21\nTime: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM\nLocation: Bayfront Park\, Chula Vista CA \n\n \n\nMeeting Location: Bayfront Park\, 980 Marina Way\, Chula Vista\, CA 91910. We will meet next to the Bayfront Park parking lot\, in the grassy area before the restrooms and the Chula Vista boat launching ramp. Look for the Living Coast canopy!  \n\n\nDriving Directions: From the I-5 Freeway take Exit 7B onto J Street\, then continue onto Marina Pkwy. Turn left onto Marina Way. Follow Marina Way until you can turn right into the parking lot next to Bayfront Park.  \n\n\nSuggested Parking: Parking is available at the Bayfront Park Parking Lot off of Marina Way. \nRestrooms: Park restrooms are available at this location.  \n\n\nProgram Supplies: Buckets\, trash bags\, gloves\, safety vests\, and grabbers will be provided.  \n\n\nPlease make sure to bring water\, wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes\, and sun/bug protection!

SUMMARY:Sweetwater Safari Hike
DESCRIPTION:Join us every Saturday as we explore the Sweetwater Marsh Trail on the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge! We will learn about the history of the Sweetwater Marsh\, the salt marsh ecosystem\, and the plants and wildlife thriving in this protected space. Backpacks with fun activities\, including magnifying glasses and binoculars\, will be available for families to use while on the hike. \n \nCheck-in time: 11:30 am\nDuration: 30-45 Minutes \nMeeting Location: We will meet outside the front doors of the Living Coast Discovery Center located at 1000 Gunpowder Point Drive\, Chula Vista\, CA 91910. \nDriving directions: From the I5 freeway\, exit at E street and head west to the Living Coast Discovery Center parking lot. This hike location is located on a wildlife refuge\, and all visitors must park in the outer lot and take the free Living Coast Discovery Center shuttle. \nSuggested parking: This locations parking lot is located outside of a wildlife refuge. All visitors must take the free shuttle from the parking lot located on Gunpowder Point Drive. This lot is located at Gunpowder Point Drive\, Chula Vista CA 91910. \nRestrooms and Water: The nearest restrooms are located inside the front doors of the Living Coast Discovery Center. You do not have to pay to use the restrooms\, but if visitors choose to enter the facility to visit exhibits they must pay the admission fees. \nHike lengths: This trail is approximately 1 mile in length. \nProgram Supplies:  Please make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for hiking. Bringing a water bottle\, bug protection\, and sun protection are highly recommended. \nHiking level: Easy \nNo pets will be allowed on the hike.
