SUMMARY:Team Up to Clean Up: Sweetwater Marsh
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Team Up to Clean Up event at the Sweetwater Marsh and help us protect and care for our coastal environment! Participants will pick up trash throughout the protected marsh and learn about the native plants and wildlife that live in the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Help us make a difference by keeping this critical coastal habitat clean! \nDate: Sunday\, March 17\nCheck-in time: 11:00 AM\nDuration: 2 hours \n \nMeeting Location: We will meet outside the front doors of the Living Coast Discovery Center located at 1000 Gunpowder Point Drive\, Chula Vista\, CA 91910. \nDriving directions: From the I-5 freeway\, take exit 8B onto E St. Head west to the Living Coast Discovery Center parking lot. \nSuggested parking: Parking is available at the Living Coast Discovery Center Parking Lot. Participants will be able to ride the complimentary shuttle from the main lot to the front of the center. \nRestrooms and Water: The nearest restrooms are located inside the front doors of the Living Coast Discovery Center. You do not have to pay to use the restrooms\, but if visitors choose to enter the facility to visit exhibits\, they must pay the admission fees. \nProgram Supplies: Buckets\, trash bags\, gloves\, safety vests\, and grabbers will be provided. Please make sure to bring water and wear comfortable clothes\, closed-toed shoes\, and sun/bug protection!
