The Living Coast is proud to educate the community on the importance of conservation and actively participate in saving species! As a member of multiple breeding programs designed to reintroduce threatened or endangered species locally\, we have successfully bred\, hatched\, and released the federally endangered Lightfooted Ridgway’s Rail & threatened Western Burrowing Owl. \n\nJoin us on December 2 & 3 to celebrate Wildlife Conservation Day with animal encounters and educational Discovery Tables to learn more about these vital species and how we can work together to protect them! \n*Activities included with admission.

We’ll learn about the natural flora & fauna and talk about the history of the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. This program is generously sponsored by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This hike counts towards one of the requirements for the Trail to Bay Challenge.
