DESCRIPTION:SIGN UP HERE \nThanks for your interest in joining us for our Trail to Bay Challenge hike at Kwaay Paay Sunrise Hike in Mission Trails Regional Park on March 13\, 2022. One of the five major peaks in Mission Trails\, it is part of the 5-Peak Challenge. Challenges are a great way to get motivated and meet new people! Many of the native plants and wildlife found here are similar to what is found in our local hikes around Chula Vista. At the peak\, there will be 360 views of San Diego County. \nDate: March 13\, 2022\nCheck in time: 5:30 am\nHike start time: 6:00 am\nCapacity: 20 people\nHiking level: HARD \n***This is an adults only hike due to safety precautions.*** \nMeeting Location: Gate on west side of lot. (near trash and recycling bins). Parking lot address: Bushy Hill Dr\, Santee\, CA 92071 (at transect of Bushy Hill Dr. and Father Junipero Serra Trail. \nDriving Directions: From CA-125 N\, exit Mission Gorge Rd on left. Continue down Mission Gorge Road for 1.7 miles\, then take slight right onto Father Junipero Serra Trail. Lot will be on left. \nSuggested Parking: Main dirt lot on Bushy Hill Dr. Some street parking available on Father Junipero Serra Trail. \nTrailhead Location: .2 miles NorthWest of parking lot on left. \nRestrooms and Water: No restrooms or water stations\, please plan accordingly. \nHike Length: 2.5 miles (loop) with 900 ft elevation gain. Summit at 1.3 mile mark.
