Wildlife + Art + Me

Connecting families and nature thru art, we’re teaming up with U.S.Fish & Wildlife Service to offer Living Coast Discovery Center guests a unique, exclusive opportunity!

Wildife + Art + Me:
A year of nature art workshops for children and their favorite grown-up.

Beginning May 17, 2014

Children, 4th grade-12th grade, will embark upon a long-term art adventure working with their favorite adult and artists every other month at the Living Coast.
We’ll seek out wildlife in their natural habitats on trail walks, sketch the Sea Turtles in Turtle Lagoon, and learn how to make our masterpieces come alive with watercolor pencils and acrylic paints!
Our hope is that participants will be inspired to develop a piece of art to submit to the  2015 Endangered Species & Jr. Duck Stamp art competition.

This experience is limited to the first 10 family units (20 participants) who RSVP. Additional parties may be put on a waiting list to join the group at a later date.

  • -Focusing on 4th-12th grade students
  • -Participants should bring a sack lunch
  • -FREE to Living Coast Discovery Center Members & up to 10 family units with RSVP.
