Pacific Animal Day
In honor of Pacific Animal Day, join us as Pacific Animal Productions visits The Living Coast!   Gather from 12:30-1:30 for an animal presentation from Pacific Animal Productions followed by a meet and greet with some of their amazing animals!  Have a fun day learning all about animals that call the pacific home.  Stick around after the presentation to do a free craft and see some of our daily animal feedings such as our sharks and rays, sea turtles, and eagles.

Sweetwater Safari Tour
Enjoy an interactive, guided trail walk with one of our wildlife educators. You’ll get binoculars, bird ID sheets, and more. We’ll learn about the natural flora & fauna and talk about the history of the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. This program is generously sponsored by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. *Subject to availability. If a wildlife educator is unavailable, the trail walk is self-guided. Backpacks can be checked out from the front desk for free any day of the week.

World Rock Day
Rocks rock!  Visit the center for some awesome hikes, talks, crafts and more as we explore the wonderful world of geology.  Create your very own San Diego Kindness Rock then take your painted treasure to your favorite outdoor space for others to find and keep the kindness going!  Join us for a hike out on the refuge while we take a closer look at all types of rocks.  Make sure to catch our rock talks to learn about some hidden gems, I mean gemstones, found inside our amazing planet! Plus, as a member you get the exclusive perk of joining us for a Rockin’ Reptile Encounter at 1:00 p.m. This member-only event is on a first come first served, so make sure to arrive early to secure your spot!

Did you know that falling coconuts can be more dangerous than sharks?  Bring family and friends and come find out more about this and other surprising shark facts as we celebrate Shark Awareness Day.  Enjoy activities and talks all about sharks and you can even join us to help feed these amazing animals!

Do you love animals?  Ever wonder what goes in to taking care of them?  It may be more than you think.  Join us for a day of fun and learn what it takes to be a keeper.  You’ll get to meet some fascinating new animals while learning all about animal care.  You can even help us in some feedings and enrichment for the wonderful animals that call the Living Coast Home. Plus, as a member you get the exclusive perk of joining us at 1:30 p.m. for a member-only stingray feeding!

When will I receive my new membership cards? Your membership cards will be mailed to the address provided within two weeks of joining or renewing. If you would like to visit before your membership cards arrive, show your proof of purchase and a photo ID at the admission desk.

Can family or friends use my membership card? Membership cards are not transferable; only the individuals named on the membership card are entitled to use member benefits.

Can I bring a guest when I visit? Your membership is good for all named individuals on your membership card. Depending on the level of membership you’ve purchased, you will receive single use Guest Passes or 2-for-1 Coupons that you’re welcome to use for your guests. The physical Guest Passes and 2-for-1 Coupon must be turned in at the admission counter at the time of admission.

What should I do if I lose my membership card? To request a replacement card contact the Membership Department by email membership@thelivingcoast.org or by phone at 619-409-5940 to request a replacement card. There is a $5.00 fee for replacement cards.

What is the easiest way for me to update my contact information? To update your information contact the Membership Department by email membership@thelivingcoast.org or by phone at 619-409-5940.

Can I receive more membership cards? If you would like additional membership cards there is a $5.00 fee. You will receive 2 membership cards with all named individuals printed on each card. Contact the Membership Department by email membership@thelivingcoast.org or by phone at 619-409-5940 to request a replacement card.

How can I sign up to receive the Member’s Only e-newsletter? To begin receiving the Sea Turtle Times member’s only electronic newsletter please contacts the Membership Department by email membership@thelivingcoast.org or by phone at 619-409-5940. We will need the following information to send you the monthly e-newsletter: First and last name of the primary member and a valid email address:

Can I use my membership to attend special events or educational programs such as field trips? Memberships, coupons, Groupons®, or other discounts are not valid towards special events, school field trips and other educational programs. Our educational program fees go to support educational programs for your students’ schools, scout groups, and wildlife camps. Membership fees cover general admission to the facility and member-only events.
